Re-visioning 7 for Shelburne, Vermont
Aron Cayer's Vision for 7Students in AP411 had the opportunity to work with the Planning Commission for the Town of Shelburne, VT on a project to investigate design possibilities for the Route 7 corridor between Shelburne and South Burlington. The project prompted students to identify problems along the corridor, address stakeholder issues, and propose long range planning solutions that would effect northwestern Vermont.
Students presented their work in a public forum at the end of the semester. Citizens of Shelburne, as well as the Planning Commission applauded the students work for it's ability to bring a sense of enthusiasm, optimism, and excitement to the project. Student work was published in the Burlington Free Press and the Shelburne News, and saw a spirited discussion in the comments section of the BFP article.
